Current Scenario of National AYUSH MISSION in GOA
On 20th MARCH 2020, the Union Cabinet approved the operationalization of 12,500 Ayushman Arogya Mandir under National AYUSH Mission.
These Centres aim to promote a holistic wellness model based on AYUSH principles, empowering communities for self-care reducing the disease.
100 Ayushman Arogya Mandir (AYUSH) are functional in Goa.
Upcoming one 50 bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospital in South Goa (Margao) and North Goa (Velguem)
One Ophthalmology unit is functional in state at PHC Shiroda
04 Public Health Programme are functional in Goa are as follows;
- National Programme for Prevention and Management of Osteoarthritis & Other Musculoskeletal Disorder is functional.
- Vayomitra: AYUSH Geriatric Healthcare Services functional.
- AYURVIDYA: Healthy lifestyle through AYUSH for school children.
- Karunya : AYUSH palliative services.
